Why Public Health At USK?
The Public Health concentration at the University of Saint Katherine is a great choice for students who want to think big without getting lost in the crowd. Big questions about health and society get asked and answered on a community scale. COVID-19 has underscored the need for public health professionals who can help plan responses to outbreaks and other health emergencies. Beyond moments of crisis, public health experts shape public debate about many of society’s greatest challenges, from violence to hunger. The Public Health concentration guides students to analyze past and current health trends and use statistics to predict future trends in human health empowering them to protect and plan for the greater community. Students fulfill all ordinary requirements for entry into a Master’s program in public health should they wish to do so.
