Laura Ratto

Professor Ratto received her MA in Kinesiology at San Diego State University with a specialization in Sport and Exercise Psychology. Early on, she took an interest to the motivations and inner workings of athletes. Her thesis was on ‘Female Volleyball Players’ Perceptions of Hypothetical Coaches: Does Athlete Age and Coach Gender Make a Difference?’.

In 2013 she received the Woman of the Year Award from the National Association of Professional Women. She four published works and has taught at many colleges since 2005, we are lucky to have her as an addition to the USK Faculty.
