Education at USK:  A Powerful Investment

The value of Christian higher education is seen in many ways, from the life change in our students to the professional success of our graduates to the countless lives improved through faith and learning. Our distinctive academic program integrates Christian perspective and values into a student’s chosen field of study.  But it’s really so much more. We want students to gain the skills to reach out to people and make a real impact on the world.

What is University College (UC)?

University College is a program designed to help busy adults finish their bachelor’s degree quickly and conveniently. Students are enrolled at USK as non-traditional students. They receive the same content and complete the same work as traditional students enrolled full time on campus and earn the same degree. Classes are offered year-round as 8-week modules and (1) meet just one night every other week (four in-class meetings per course) in our hybrid platform, or (2) entirely online through our eLearning platform. Flexible and fully accredited programs provide an innovative curriculum that works for today’s busy adults. The average age of UC students is 32 years, and most hold jobs or other employment.

UC@USK allows busy adults to complete their college degree in a convenient format alongside other adult students. In UC, each hybrid class meets* just one weeknight or weekend night every other week from 7:00-10:00 p.m.; all other classes meet online through our eLearning platform. Most students in our program chose to take one course at a time, allowing dedicated focus and emphasis on each course to maximize learning. (Students who take two courses per semester are designated as half-time students and qualify for Federal and state student loan programs through the FAFSA process). All students complete classes in general education, electives, and the program requirements for their degree.
