Business Management

Bachelor of Arts (BA)

As a school of choice for business education, our defined focus can give you a competitive edge. And with our strong interdisciplinary core curriculum, you’ll be able to look at opportunities from new perspectives.

At the University of Saint Katherine, you’ll be taught by leaders who have “been there”—our faculty are highly experienced in their field. You’ll find hands-on learning experiences at every turn. With professional development weaved throughout our curriculum, your degree will take you further, giving you skills that can put you over the top when it’s time to make your next move after college. Whether you want to enter the job market or go on to graduate studies, you’ll have the foundation you need.

Saint Katherine’s innovative four-year Professional Leadership Seminar (PLS) helps you develop the career skills you need to start your career the right way. You won’t just leave Saint Katherine with a degree; you’ll graduate feeling confident, qualified and prepared for the professional challenges ahead and the lifelong learning opportunities you’ll encounter. Custom-designed by Saint Katherine faculty and staff, the PLS fills the gap between the professional skills required in the workforce, but not included in the typical college curriculum.

Each year, a series of PLS programs help you transition into the college environment, learn successful study skills, present yourself professionally and position yourself for internships and your first job.

Before you graduate, you will:

  • create future goals and a plan to achieve them

  • write a winning resume

  • evaluate internship and job opportunities

  • build a presentation portfolio that showcases your knowledge and abilities

  • learn how to interview effectively for the job you want

These courses cover critical areas of business, including accounting, computer information systems, finance, management and marketing.

The BA degree program in Business Management currently offers a concentration in Business Management.  Now, more than ever, our fast-paced global society needs dynamic managers to bring order to seeming chaos. The University’s business management program prepares you to lead in the future workforce by developing your communication skills to present clear and direct solutions to corporate problems; exercising your critical thinking and analytical abilities to quickly and correctly interpret key business metrics; exposing you, through case studies, to ethical dilemmas that encourage social consciousness and civic responsibility; and, placing you in challenging internships with our corporate partners as an opportunity to network and hone your leadership skills.

With decades of experience in management, business ownership, and consulting, our business management faculty invests in each of our students. We will prepare you to lead. Ready you for a meaningful profession. And maybe change the future.
