#6   Jackie Hoffberg- Senior-Midfield- Santa Clarita, CA

 

Jackie was born in Santa Clarita, California, to Greg and Sally Hoffberg, and is the youngest of six children. While attending both high school and College of the Canyons community college in Santa Clarita, she never played competitive sports. Jackie  joined the St. Katherine Firebirds after transferring to the University, and during the first year of the Women’s Soccer Program. She earned the award for Most Improved Athlete for that season, and continues to enjoy playing for the University of St. Katherine while she studies to obtain a BS in Kinesiology.  

 

#7 Tamalyn Cervin- Senior- Forward- Sacramento, CA

 

Tamalyn Cervin is from Sacramento, CA and attended John F. Kennedy High School and Sacramento City College before transferring to the University of St. Katherine. This is her second and last year playing college soccer before graduating this upcoming spring with a degree in Orthodox Christian theology and a minor in music.

 

#9  Dannon Peters- Junior- Midfield- Maricopa, CA

 

Dannon Peters is from Maricopa, Arizona, daughter of Cecil and Raychel Peters. Dannon has one brother, 3 sisters, and have a niece and nephew. Also the owner of an awesome chihuahua named Evee. Dannon attended Maricopa High School where she played varsity soccer for all 4 years. She has transferred from Gateway Community College in Phoenix, Arizona. She is working on her Bachelors in Science and plans to be a marine biologist.

 

#10  Delia Jimenez- Senior- Midfield- Vallejo, CA

 

Delia is born in Mixtlan, Jalisco, Mexico to Edgar and Delia Jimenez. She went to Vallejo High School where she was captain her sophomore year. She transferred and graduated from Vintage High School where she contributed to two MEL championships. She received second team all Bay Valley Conference 2015 at Napa Valley College and Napa Valley College Most Valuable attacker 2015. Jimenez has been named All-regional for the university of Saint Katherine in 2016. She is a Biochemistry major and hopes to go to dental school and specialize in orthodontics.

Sydney was born in Arizona and has an older sister and two younger brothers. Sydney played on Arizona Soccer Club since the age of 9 and attended Queen Creek High School where she played on varsity all four years. Her final year of high school she was team captain and won the MVP and Victory with Honors awards. She attended Gateway Community College in Phoenix for two years, and was captain her sophomore year. Sydney is a Biology major and plans on attending medical school to eventually become a radiologist.

 

#14  Ariel Diaz- Freshman- Defender- Norwalk, CA

 

Ariel is born in Norwalk California, to Jimmy and Lorraine, and has two brothers Jimmy and Miguel who both play soccer.  Ariel went to Santa Fe  HS and played for Fram Soccer Club. In HS, she was on varsity for all four years. She is a Natural Science & kinesiology major and hopes to become a physical therapist or a radiologist.

Ashley Mercado born in Inglewood California , to Julia and Ariel. Attended Animo Leadership Charter  High School, after which she attended both Cal State Northridge and El Camino College.

Ashley received the MVP award junior and senior of high school.  She also received MVP honors both years at El Camino College and is a Kinesiology major.

 

#18  Carly Baker- Senior- Defender- Cape Verde, VA

 

The first of three born to a military family, Carly Baker is originally from Quantico, Virginia and grew up moving between both coasts of the United States.  During high school she filled her time outside the classroom with training in soccer and ballet.  Graduating from high school as valedictorian, she left her dance company in Texas with ambitions to pursue a double major in Business Management and Orthodox theology at USK.  She came to the school two years before their soccer program began and has been on the team since its inception; she currently plays left defender.

Jordan was born in Torrance, California, to Kisca and Steven, she has one brother Anthoni. Jordan went to North Torrance High School and played for The South Bay Spartans Soccer Club. In high school she earn the MVP award her freshman and Junior year and was captain for Junior year. She is a Kinesiology major and hopes to become an Athletic Trainer.

 

#23  Nicole Canet- Senior- Midfield- Alpine, CA

 

Colee was born and raised in San Diego, California to Bill and Pam Canet, and has two brothers and one sister. She is a mother to the most handsome pup in the world, Scruffers. She played varsity at Granite Hills High School. After high school, she went to Grossmont College where she won MVP and was captain of the women’s soccer team. She is a kinesiology major and hopes to work as a physical therapist with the wounded warriors. Joshua 1:9

 

#25  Valentina Zito- Junior- Goalkeeper- Vista, CA

 

Valentina was born in Hackensack, New Jersey, to Riccardo and Rosa, and one sister Luciana. Valentina moved to California in 2014 and attended Palomar College. She played 2 years at Palomar College, was awarded MVP and athlete of the week by the PCAC twice. She is a Kinesiology major with the hopes of becoming an Athletic director one day.
