Saint Katherine’s Women’s Basketball Coach
Careth Herron played both basketball and softball at Cairn university in Philadelphia. As a basketball player she was named both team MVP and team captain. As a team, the eagles were regional champions two years in a row. Careth was named an All Region player two years in a row.
Along with athletics, Careth was an outstanding student. She maintained honor roll throughout her academic career and graduated with a double major in Kinesiology and Health and Biblical Studies. After college, Careth went on to coach High School varsity softball at William Tennent High School. Throughout the summers, Careth put on basketball skills clinics for athletes ages 12 to 18.
After Philadelphia, Careth moved to California and began working at a two different sports performance training facilities as one of the strength and conditioning trainers. Careth worked with athletes of all types and ages. She specialized in Olympic Weightlifting and helped athletes reach their sports specific strength, speed, and power goals. During this time, Careth put on basketball clinics designed to help high school basketball athletes reach the next level of competition to prepare for college.
In the past 8 years, Careth coached multiple women’s basketball teams ranging in age from 14 to 18. As a coach, she is excited to grow the Saint Katherine Women’s Basketball program using her coaching and training experience.
