#2 Andre Shabazz- Freshman- Forward- Las Vegas, NV
#3 Jose Macias- Senior- Forward- Chula Vista, CA
Jose was born and raised in Chula Vista, California to Georgina and Antonio Macias. He has always been an athlete since day one. Played multiple sports growing up but his first love was baseball. He stopped playing soccer in 8th grade to focus on baseball throughout years at Chula Vista High School. Earning Varsity letter in three years. After high school went to go play baseball at the collegiate level at Southwestern College, later to be recruited to William Penn University in Iowa. For his last year for baseball, he transferred back to St. Katherine. He would have never imagine playing soccer once again yet alone at the collegiate level. Jose is a History major with goal of becoming a teacher and baseball coach at his high school.
#4 Daniel Toranzo- Junior- Defender- Victor Valley, CA
Danny Toranzo was born in Apple Valley, California to Veronica and Daniel Toranzo, and is the oldest of four kids. Danny has played soccer since he was 5 years old and played varsity for The Academy of Academic Excellence and two years for Victor Valley College prior to transferring to USK. He is a Kinesiology major and is continuing to work towards becoming a physical therapist. He loves this game!
#5 Jake Finley- Freshman- Defender- Stevenville, MT
Jake was born in San Diego, California, to Scott and Carrie. Jake went to Stevensville High School in Stevensville, Montana where he played 4 years of varsity soccer. In HS, he was 2nd team all conference his junior and senior year as well as a team captain for both of those years. In his freshman high school soccer season, he reached the state championship game. Jake is a kinesiology major and hopes to become an athletic trainer for a professional sports team in the future.
#8 Jairo Gonzalez- Sophomore- Defender- Vallejo, CA
Jairo was born in Vallejo California (Bay Area), youngest of 3. Jairo went to Vallejo High School and was all league first team and captain his senior year. He also played club soccer to win a few tournaments and won Nor-Cal State Cup. He joined a soccer exchange program and competed in Germany for a summer. He’s a Kinesiology major with an emphasis in Exercise Science and Sport Performance and hopes to become a Physical Therapist.
#9 Jaden Torbenson- Freshman- Midfield- San Diego, CA
Jaden was born in Salt Lake City, Utah to Robyn and Jason. Has 3 siblings-Jenna, Jaxen, and Josie. Jaden went to La Jolla High School and Papillion La-Vista South HS. He played club soccer for Albion SC and Elite Boys Academy. As a club soccer player he was a National Cup semi-finalist, 3 time state finalist, and made the top region II ODP team. He is an Exercise Science major and plans on working as a physical therapist for athletes.
#10 Isaac Arenas- Junior- Forward- San Diego, CA
Isaac is born in Mexico City, to Rosalia and Gerardo, and has two siblings. Gerardo and Roxana. Which both are married and have kids. Isaac went to University City High School and played for Carlsbad Elite soccer club. In HS, he won CIF his Freshman and Junior year. For club, he won national cup 2 years in a row and went to Regionals in Hawaii. He is a business management major and hopes to one day own his own business.
#11 Jorge Diaz- Sophomore- Defender- Las Vegas, NV
Jorge was born in Mexico City, Mexico to Heidy and Alfonzo, his parents, and has one sister, Pam who plays soccer. Jorge went to Centennial High school and played for Players Soccer Club. For club, he won 2 league championships. He is a Business major and hopes to own his own business and wants to specialize in computer software as well.

#14 Matthew Aldama- Senior- Midfield- Torrance, CA
Matt Aldama, born in Torrance, California, to Jose and Cindy, has three brothers, Chris, Jordan, and Joseph as well as two sisters, Aliyah and Victoria. Aldama is in his third season with the Firebirds and is captain of the team as a senior. He was award team MVP after the 2015 season. Aldama attended North High School and played for several top club teams in Southern California. In high school he played four years of varsity soccer, leading the team to two Pioneer League titles. Earned all league second team as a sophomore and all league first team his junior and senior year, he was also the captain of the team his senior year. Aldama reached the semi-finals of National Cup with his club teams four consecutive years. He is a Business Management & Economics major.

#18 Cole Hermann- Senior- Midfield- Vista, CA
Cole Herrmann graduated in 2012 from Rancho Buena Vista high school only playing baseball. Since then Cole is a senior who is about to finish his business management degree with a minor in literature. However, in coming to Saint Katherine Cole says, “I’ve picked up a new sport called Soccer, or as some would say “futbol”. As a player this sport has given me a better understanding as to what it means to be an athlete. Also I would like to add that I am probably one of the best players ever to have played in school history. The reason being is my amazing footwork and how often I practice my “biciclectas” while at practice. I imagine by the end of the year I’ll be leading the team in goals and saves at goalie. One thing I want my fellow teammates to remember present and future is that we are “lions competing in a field of lions”.”

Jonathan was born in Chicago Illinois, to Eric and Leslie, and has three sisters Allison, Rachel and Lexi by his step-mother Lauren. Jonathan went to El Camino HS and played baseball at Indiana University. At Indiana he was 1st team All Big-ten and preseason Big-ten pitcher of the year. He is a Business major and hopes to work with private equity investments and venture capitalists.
