Spend the Summer Building Your Future
College is closer than you think. So start strong at USK’s Summer Bridge Program July 18th – August 15th, which is a great way to complete required coursework and build your skills in English and math. It is also a great way to start building the confidence you will need to succeed in college.
Summer Bridge Program is open to students who have taken the SAT/ACT tests and, as a result, are encouraged to participate in early start by taking extra classes in English and math during the summer to prepare for college-level coursework. Preference will be given to students whose SAT/ACT test scores require them to take both math and English courses in preparation for college-level courses in these areas.
Summer Bridge Program lets you complete courses you’ll need to take anyway, so you can get ahead, at a reduced cost. Summer Bridge Program dates are from July 18th through August 15th, 2017, Monday through Thursday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm (if taking two courses) or 8:30 am to 12:00 pm or 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm (if taking one course). Summer Bridge Program Orientation will take place Monday, July 17th from 10:00-12:00pm.
The four weeks you spend at the Summer Bridge Program will prepare you for the classroom and for college. Summer Bridge Program consists of academic courses and cohort workshops that provide students the opportunity to develop study skills, network with peers and faculty, and connect to campus resources.
Summer Bridge Program English and math classes are taught on the USK campus, under the mentoring guidance of USK faculty. Classes are small and supportive, which means you’ll have plenty of interaction with your professors who are here to see you succeed.
You’ll be joining a group of other first-time students attending USK, who are also building their academic skills to prepare for college. The friendships you make at Summer Bridge Program will last throughout your college experience and beyond.
