Mental Health and Wellness

It’s a hard time to be a young adult.  Please reach out if you are struggling. We never want you to feel alone.  The link here describes some resources available to you as a USK student.  The Director of Student Affairs, Melanie Veteto, is available in her office or at mveteto@usk.edu to help you find the right resources to guide you back to mental well-being.

Mental Health

Alcohol and Drugs

USK protects student physical and mental health and complies with applicable laws with its policy on alcohol and drugs.

Nutrition

Eating well is crucial to good health!

Local groceries offer healthy food at reasonable prices.  There are smaller groceries and the big chain stores close to USK.

The Firebird Cafe, located in the Student Lounge, offers snacks and beverages during the day.  There are also vending machines.

The USK Food Pantry, located inside Student Affairs, is also here to help you out.  It is free for all students.

Regional Food Banks and food distribution events are a great resource.  In addition to checking the North County Food Bank website, visit the Student Affairs Center for posted information about current locations and events.

COVID-19

COVID-19 vaccination is recommended but not required.  You will receive an all-school email if there are major changes to the prevalence and risks associated with COVID-19.
